The Middle District of Florida is one of the busiest federal district courts in the country. Attend oral argument in a civil action before the Honorable Marcia Morales Howard, U.S. District Judge, and then join Judge Howard for lunch and a discussion about the work of a district judge.

The Summer Series is sponsored by the Bench Bar Fund of the Middle District of Florida and the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. The Summer Series is open to all law students working in Jacksonville for the summer.  Events in the courthouse are in the Bryan Simpson U.S. Courthouse, 300 North Hogan Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202.  Parking information will be emailed before each event.  A photo identification is required for courthouse entry.  Note that events have space limitations. If you RSVP, you are taking a space and food is being ordered for you. If after you RSVP you cannot attend, you must contact (904) 549-1950 in time for another student to take your place. Professional attire must be worn.
