America 250! Speaker Series
This year is the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence!
Join the Court and your local federal court bar associations for a speaker series to celebrate. The divisions in the Middle District of Florida will each in turn present speakers live at the hosting courthouse while livestreaming the presentation to the other courthouses. These events are free and open to the public but do have limited capacity. CLE credits will be offered.
We have reached capacity for attendance in person at the Jacksonville event held on March 10.
For the other four division events, you’re welcome to join us for a viewing party and brown-bag lunch at the Bryan Simpson Courthouse in Jacksonville on the 13th floor. Light refreshments will be provided for a discussion immediately following the streamed presentation.
This series will culminate in a simultaneous celebration throughout the Middle District on July 1. This free event, open to the public, will be held in the Courthouse Lobby. It will be a classic American summer extravaganza–including a reading of the Declaration of Independence, tree planting, time capsule sealing, hot dog cart, and much more!
