Welcome to federal court! The Summer Series is designed for law students working in Jacksonville and nearby areas. The goal is to bring to life much of what is studied in law school. Information about all eight events is available here.
Witnessing people take the Oath of Allegiance and become United States citizens is a moving and inspiring experience. Join an immigration agent for a discussion about the naturalization process, observe a naturalization ceremony, and welcome some of our nation’s newest citizens. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided at no cost.
This event will be held at the Bryan Simpson United States Courthouse, Conference Room (13th floor) for the meeting and the Ceremonial Courtroom (13th floor) for the ceremony.
This event is limited to 30 students. Please RSVP by using the below form.
If you have questions regarding this event, you are welcome to email Katharine Roth at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, a few reminders: All Summer Series events are free. All events require business attire. You must have a valid i.d. to enter the courthouse. Each event requires a reservation, spaces are limited, and most events “sell out.” Be mindful that if you make a reservation, a seat will be saved for you and food will be bought for you. If you cannot attend, immediately contact Katharine Roth at (904) 549-1950 so your seat can be given to someone else.
Thank you and we look forward to having you join us!
