Please join us for an engaging presentation on new cases and developments in federal practice, presented by one of the nation’s leading authorities on federal civil procedure. Federal trial attorney, author, and civil procedure professor Jim Wagstaffe will speak on the topic of “Mining the Golden Nuggets of Federal Practice.” The presentation will focus on dramatic and recent threshold decisions from the Supreme Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and around the country as they affect the ongoing impact of Spokeo (and now Thole) standing, Fort Bend and Gunn jurisdiction topics, Atlantic Marine forum selection issues, and, of course, Twombly/Iqbal and Celotex. Mr. Wagstaffe will address the hot new topic of Rule 43 virtual testimony and share views on the Supreme Court’s recent ruling in the Ford Motor personal jurisdiction case.
