Jacksonville Chapter 50th Anniversary Celebration

Date/Time

Location
The Lark
229 N. Hogan Street
Jacksonville, FL

The year was 1972. 6,000 U.S. troops were still in Vietnam. NASA launched the last Apollo mission to the moon. The Equal Rights Act passed in the Senate. And Nike running shoes hit the market. That same year, a young Assistant United States Attorney started the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. That young attorney was Harvey Schlesinger, who would ultimately serve as a four-time President of the organization and become one of the longest-serving federal district court judges in the country. While the chapter has grown since its early days, much about the organization and its commitment to civility, education, and professional development have stayed the same. Save the date for a memorable luncheon as we reflect on the history of our chapter.
